ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Government of Pakistan has strongly denied recent reports alleging it supplied ballistic missiles to Iran, calling the claims “baseless, frivolous, and part of a propaganda campaign.”
No Military Involvement, Say Officials
According to security and diplomatic sources in Islamabad, the widely circulated reports—particularly on social and international media platforms—suggesting Pakistan’s involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict are entirely unfounded.
“These are deliberate fabrications aimed at maligning Pakistan’s international image and dragging it into a manufactured controversy,” said a senior security official on condition of anonymity.
The allegations implied that Pakistan had provided non-nuclear ballistic missile support to Iran or was preparing a “nuclear response” against Israel—claims officials categorically rejected.
Blame Placed on Indian Media Outlets
Sources accused certain foreign entities and Indian media outlets of orchestrating a disinformation campaign. Officials noted that false statements falsely attributed to Pakistan were being circulated to escalate tensions and discredit the country’s neutral stance.
“All such suggestions of military alignment with Iran are completely fictitious,” said the sources.
Pakistan Reaffirms Neutrality and Support for Peace
Pakistan reiterated its longstanding position advocating for peace and stability in the Middle East. Officials emphasized that Islamabad supports diplomatic dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution as a matter of consistent foreign policy.
The rejection of the reports comes as Iran and Israel continue to engage in tit-for-tat missile exchanges, heightening regional tensions and drawing international concern.
