ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Chinese embassy in Israel has issued an urgent advisory, urging Chinese nationals to leave the country immediately due to the deteriorating security situation amid ongoing Israeli-Iranian hostilities. The embassy recommended that citizens exit via land crossings toward Jordan, as Israeli airspace remains closed.
In a notice posted Tuesday on WeChat, the embassy stated, “At present, the Israeli-Iranian conflict continues to escalate, with civilian facilities damaged and civilian casualties increasing, making the security situation even more severe.”
The conflict has persisted for five consecutive days, with repeated exchanges of attacks between Israel and Iran. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump called on Iranians to evacuate Tehran, highlighting Tehran’s refusal to accept a nuclear deal aimed at limiting its weapons development.
Trump, who was attending the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada, cut his visit short to address the crisis, with the White House announcing he would convene the National Security Council. On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Trump’s early departure from the summit, emphasizing the importance of pursuing a ceasefire. “There is an offer that has been made, especially to have a ceasefire and to initiate broader discussions. And I think this is a very good thing,” Macron said. “So now we need to see what the stakeholders will do.”
The situation remains fluid, with international efforts focusing on de-escalation and diplomatic negotiations to prevent further deterioration in the region.
