ISLAMABAD (PEN) : During his official visit to China, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, toured the Karamay Cloud Computing Industrial Park located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. This technopark serves as a major hub in China’s rapidly growing digital economy, hosting companies specializing in big data, artificial intelligence, and other cutting-edge technologies.
Insights into China’s Digital Infrastructure
Minister Shermatov reviewed the park’s technological solutions, production workflows, and extensive digital infrastructure. Discussions also covered China’s successful models of collaboration between public and private sectors, as well as the implementation of innovative digital projects.
Boosting Uzbekistan’s Digital Ecosystem
The visit is expected to enhance Uzbekistan’s own digital infrastructure by adopting best practices gleaned from China’s experience. It aims to foster deeper bilateral cooperation in information technology, supporting Uzbekistan’s goal to modernize its digital economy.
