ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Security agencies, along with the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), have apprehended four operatives affiliated with India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), during a significant operation in Karachi, SSP Shoaib Memon confirmed.
The suspects were reportedly working for the Indian intelligence network and maintained direct communication with Indian Army Colonel Ranjit, SSP Memon stated during a press briefing.
Authorities seized explosives, a vehicle, and weapons from the detainees. The SSP further disclosed that the suspects had been providing sensitive photographs and geotagged coordinates of military installations to their handlers across the border.
“All four suspects are residents of Sujawal district and have crossed the Indian border more than 20 times,” SSP Shoaib Memon revealed.
Legal cases have been registered against the suspects under anti-state and espionage charges. The SSP also confirmed that investigations are ongoing to dismantle the network and identify further accomplices.
