ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Fifth Round of Pakistan-China Consultations on Multilateral Issues took place in Beijing, reaffirming the two countries’ shared commitment to international cooperation and multilateralism.
Pakistan’s delegation was led by Ambassador Nabeel Munir, Special Secretary (United Nations), while the Chinese side was headed by Mr. Shen Bo, Director General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
During the consultations, both sides held comprehensive discussions on a wide range of multilateral matters, particularly issues on the United Nations agenda related to regional and global peace and security, including those before the UN Security Council. The two sides noted with satisfaction the strong alignment of their positions on key international issues and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration at multilateral forums, especially the United Nations.
On the sidelines of the consultations, Ambassador Nabeel Munir also met with Vice Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Miao Deyu. Both sides underscored the time-tested Pakistan-China strategic partnership and expressed a shared resolve to further elevate the historic bilateral relationship to greater heights.
