ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Police have arrested four siblings—two brothers and two sisters—active on TikTok, following a daring overnight robbery at a businessman’s residence in Karachi’s PECHS area. The suspects, identified as Yasra, Nimra, Shahryar, and Shahroz, face accusations of stealing roughly *Rs130 million*, along with luxury watches, mobile phones, and other valuables, officials confirmed
Deceptive Method of Entry
According to SP Umair Tariq of the Jamshed Division, the siblings executed the heist by posing as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officers:
“The suspects planned this heist meticulously. Using fake uniforms added a layer of deception that helped them gain entry without immediate suspicion.”.
Surveillance footage reportedly captures the dramatic scene: two women donning burqas approaching the businessman, Salik, at his car, followed by a man brandishing a firearm. The group then moved into the residence, exiting later with a bag visibly filled with stolen items.
Suspects’ Background and Police Investigation
One of the sisters, Yasra, is known for her work in modelling and drama, with previously shared videos featuring both Pakistani and Indian celebrities. Authorities are also exploring whether the suspects have links to other criminal cases.
An FIR has been filed, and all four suspects remain in custody as police continue their investigation. The probe is focusing not only on the role of each family member but also on any wider criminal connections that may surface.
Public Implications
This case highlights a disturbing trend: the exploitation of social media notoriety for serious crimes. The suspects’ use of theatrics—including burqas, fake uniforms, and orchestrated entry—reveals sophisticated planning. Law enforcement is urging residents to remain vigilant and to verify identities during unexpected visits, especially by individuals claiming to be security or investigative officers.
