Islamabad (PEN): Two documentaries to showcase Pakistan’s popular cuisines and artistic cooking in the setting of beautiful mountains of Northern Areas and historical places of Lahore were launched today at the Embassy in a simple ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Moin Ul Haque stated that this year, both Pakistan and China were celebrating “Year of Tourism Exchanges” and many activities were being organized by the Embassy to introduce Pakistan’s rich history, cultural heritage and natural beauty to the people of China. He said that launching of these two documentaries on Pakistan’s culinary delights was part of such activities to reach out to the people of China through food diplomacy.
These documentaries would be launched on Chinese Social Media platforms and would help in creating understanding among the Chinese public about Pakistani culture and traditional cuisine.
