The first batch of Pakistani dried chili arrives in China

ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan has successfully delivered its first batch of high-quality dried chilies, weighing 182 tonnes, to Neijiang city in Sichuan Province, China. This milestone in trade relations is anticipated to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations, according to Pakistan’s ambassador, Khalil Hashmi. The event, part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Agricultural Cooperation Project, highlights Pakistan’s reputation as a major exporter of flavorful dried chilies due to its unique climatic conditions and fertile soil. Ambassador Hashmi emphasizes that this shipment not only enhances economic ties but also promotes cultural exchange by allowing Chinese consumers to enjoy the distinctive flavors of Pakistani cuisine. The imported dried chilies have garnered attention among local traders and spice enthusiasts, arriving in excellent condition and reflecting the efficiency of the logistics and supply chain systems involved. Chinese importers eagerly awaited these chilies, valued for their aromatic and spicy qualities, which are essential in many Chinese dishes, contributing to a richer culinary experience.
