PESHAWAR (PEN) : Chinese Spring Festival, the most significant traditional holiday in China marking its lunar New Year, was celebrated with immense joy and enthusiasm at the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (RSEZ) on Feb. 15.

Organized by the Pakistan-China Friendship Association (PCFA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KPEZDMC), the celebration drew a large crowd of local and Chinese staff, and officials from both institutions. The festive atmosphere was filled with the sound of traditional Chinese music and the happy smiles of well-wishers.
RSEZ, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, is a key component of CPEC. The strategic location and advanced infrastructure of the zone have attracted many Chinese companies, which have set up offices here, contributing significantly to the local economy.
Addressing the event, officials from PCFA and KPEZDMC highlighted the importance of such cultural exchanges in fostering mutual understanding and friendship between Pakistan and China. They also highlighted the economic benefits of RSEZ, which has not only created job opportunities for locals but has also become a hub for trade and investment.
A cake cutting ceremony was held on the occasion and souvenirs were presented by PCFA-KP to the Chinese and KPEZDMC officials.
