Mansehra (PEN): Department of Pakistan Studies, Hazara University Mansehra has established Pak-China Friendship Corner in the university’s Central Library with a grant from the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan. While inaugurating the Corner, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, former Vice Chancellor and Member IT Higher Education Commission Islamabad said that Pak-China Friendship Corner is a manifestation of strong relations, linkages and close cooperation in the field of education between the two countries. Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed appreciated the efforts made by Ayesha Alam for obtaining the grant and described her as worthy of emulation. The Pak-China Friendship Corner is equipped with state-of-the-art laptops, scientific books and research journals that will benefit students studying in various academic departments of the university. Ms. Ayesha Alam, Head, Department of Pakistan Studies of the university has been able to get a grant of Rs. 3.98 million from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. This grant will be used for joint cultural and social activities, organizing Pakistani and Chinese traditional exhibitions, training workshops and promoting various research activities in the field of education.
