ISLAMABAD (PEN) : District and Session court of Islamabad has acquitted the PTI founder, Asad Umer, Faisal Javed and others in a case related to protest and vandalism.
Judicial magistrate Muhammad Shahbir has issued the release verdict by accepting the bail appeals of the accused. Lawyers, Amina Ali, Sardar Masroof Khan, and Mohsin Ghaffar presented before the court during the hearing.
The court judgements mentioned the accused have filed separate acquittal pleas under the section 249A of the constitution. Accused can’t be indicted in the case, and additional trial of the case was waste of time, verdict mentioned.
The released verdict has stated the acquittal petitions of PTI founder, Asad Umer, Raja Khurram Shehzad Nawaz have been accepted. The bail pleas filed by Faisal Javed, Abid Hussain, and Zaheer Khan have also been accepted and have been released.
The court ordered, accused, Asad Umer, Ali Nawaz Awan and Faisal Javed were released and could get back the surety bonds.
It’s pertinent to note that the case was registered against the accused in Tarnol Police Station.
