ISLAMABAD (PEN) : After three days of rain the Meteorological Department reports that 150 fishermen’s boats, hundreds of nets, and motors have been submerged, and that more than 200 mm of rain has fallen, damaging several residences in Gwadar city.
While the Pakistan Army, District Administration, GDA, and PDMA are conducting rescue and relief operations in two Municipal Corporations and four union Councils.
Due to the severe effects of the rain, 35 families have been shifted to rehabilitation centers and dewatering is in progress with the help of a water bowser and 37 water pumps.
However, Balochistan is now part of the second rain system. Quetta 21, Nokundi 5, Zhob 4, Kalat 2, and 1 mm of rain in Panjgur and Turbat.
According to the Meteorological Department, Ziarat has received up to an inch of snow and for the next thirty-six hours, the present spell will remain in effect.
