ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss economic cooperation and bilateral relations between Pakistan and China at the Finance Division. Ambassador Jiang congratulated Aurangzeb on his appointment and expressed confidence in strengthening economic ties. Aurangzeb thanked China for their support, highlighting contributions to economic stability through roll-over of deposits and loan refinancing. He emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Pakistan’s growth strategy. Both sides agreed to advance collaboration in industrial zones, agriculture, mining, and renewable energy, focusing on monetizing gains from the first phase of CPEC. They reiterated the commitment to deepen economic relations, reflecting strong friendship and cooperation.
