Chinese Premier Li Qiang stressed meeting people’s expectations for a high-quality life and improving their well-being while promoting high-quality development during his inspection tour in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces from Monday to Wednesday.
When visiting a local park in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian, Li said a sound eco-environment is the most inclusive contributor to people’s well-being and more efforts should be made to improve the environment.
The premier also underlined the importance of providing better nursing services for the elderly and children, urging local officials to improve the management operation of these nursing facilities when he visited a local community.
Fujian provincial government and Fuzhou city government reported housing supply and support situations to Premier Li, who demanded to further improve the housing system, including buying and renting to better meet the needs of different groups and improve people’s living conditions.
Li also visited an American manufacturer in Fuzhou. He urged local officials to improve the business environment for foreign enterprises and support them to keep developing in China.

When inspecting a career center and a vocational school in Jiangxi, Li said employment is crucial to the people’s well-being, calling for full support for jobseekers facing difficulties in securing employment, and stressed the importance of developing vocational education, training more high-quality technical talents and deepening the integration of industry, academia and research.
During his inspection in Jiangxi, Li also went to a community health service center and an agricultural firm. He urged more efforts to guide high-quality medical resources in big cities to flow to the grassroots-level clinics and strengthen technical support for farming to ensure a good harvest.
