ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Inter-Club One-Day Tournament.
According to the announcement issued by the board, it has announced the interclub ODI tournament, which will be held in 16 regions of the country in April. As per the PCB constitution of 2014, all registered cricket clubs will be eligible to participate in the tournament.
As stated in the statement, PCB will also be opening the registration procedure to new clubs. Interested clubs are invited to apply for new membership in the District/Zonal Cricket Association, which would grant those privileges by the model constitution of the relevant District/Zonal Cricket Association.
Each club will play at least three matches in the pool stage, while the tournament will be played as per PCB rules and regulations for ODI matches.
In this regard, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that club cricket is an important component of any national cricket structure, and Pakistan has a rich history of producing talented players. The PCB is committed to reviving the good old competitive culture of club cricket and inducting aspiring players at the club level.
Mohsin Naqvi said that he is quite sure that the PCB Inter-Club One-Day Tournament will provide them with talented players.
