ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Sindh government has announced April 4 as a public holiday to commemorate the death anniversary of the late Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
This decision aims to pay tribute to the enduring legacy and contributions of the iconic political figure.
A notification issued by the Sindh government delineated that April 4th, 2024, will be observed as a public holiday across the province in remembrance of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Accordingly, all government offices, autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the provincial jurisdiction, with the exception of those engaged in essential services, will remain closed on Thursday.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a towering figure in Pakistani politics, served as the country’s Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977. He played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s political landscape and championed various socio-economic reforms during his tenure.
