ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, condemned the terrorist attack on Chinese nationals and emphasized the unity of all political parties in denouncing the act. Meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, he expressed deep sorrow and solidarity, affirming that Pakistan stands with China against terrorism. Sadiq pledged Pakistan’s determination to eradicate terrorism with the support of security agencies, parliament, and the people. He highlighted the importance of bilateral parliamentary cooperation and pledged to revive the Parliamentary Friendship Group. Sadiq reiterated commitment to safeguarding Pak-China interests, particularly related to CPEC, and paid homage to the deceased Chinese nationals at the Chinese Embassy. Ambassador Jiang thanked Pakistan for its support and solidarity and appreciated Sadiq’s tribute to the victims in the National Assembly.
