ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host the Pakistan hockey team today (Wednesday) for putting up a stellar performance in the recently held Azlan Shah Cup.
According to details, the premier will further boost the morale of the hockey players. PM Shehbaz will also distribute the prizes among the hockey players.
Prominent among those who will attend the event are Rana Mashhood and hockey legends.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had presented Rs30 million to the hockey team.
Japan had emerged victorious in the final against Pakistan in the penalty shootout.
It was the first time in 13 years that the Green Shirts had reached the final of the Azlan Shah Cup.
