ISLAMABAD (PEN) : It seems like the Islamabad High Court has dismissed a petition that aimed to disqualify Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for allegedly concealing his purported daughter, Tyrian White. This decision indicates that the court did not find sufficient grounds to proceed with the disqualification based on the allegation. The rejection of the plea seeking Imran Khan’s disqualification by a larger bench of the Islamabad High Court, led by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, suggests that the court found insufficient evidence or legal grounds to proceed with the disqualification. The petitioner, Muhammad Sajid, had filed the plea last year, alleging that Khan denied his purported daughter, Tyrian White. However, the court evidently did not find the argument compelling enough to disqualify Khan from holding public office or leading his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution.
