ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Gandhara Art Exhibition, after touring China for over a year, has returned to Pakistan, with 10 historical artworks now on display at the Islamabad Museum. Among them is a notable 2nd–3rd century AD green schist artifact depicting Lord Buddha’s princely life, which had been stored for 17 years. The exhibition, held to celebrate 70 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, featured 173 artifacts from various Pakistani museums and highlighted Pakistan’s significant Buddhist heritage. The artifacts were showcased in Beijing, Gansu, and Shenzhen, fostering cultural exchange and promoting tourism to Pakistan.
