PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi lauds Wheelchair Cricket Team, Members of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team were invited to meet with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The meeting was organized to celebrate the team’s recent achievements, including winning the Asian Wheelchair Championship in Nepal and the T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2023 title.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the national team on their successes and awarded them a cheque of PKR 1.5 million as recognition for their achievements. He praised the team’s dedication and assured them of PCB’s support for their future endeavors.
The members of the wheelchair cricket team expressed their gratitude to PCB for hosting them and providing encouragement. Among those present were Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, national team captain Mohammad Zeeshan, vice-captain Imran Arain, batter Syed Arsalan Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Muazzam Nawaz, and bowler Mohammad Fayyaz.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, Director of Domestic Cricket Operations Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Senior General Manager of Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia, and other PCB officials also attended the meeting, reaffirming PCB’s commitment to supporting disabled cricket and recognizing the achievements of the wheelchair cricket team.
