Rain likely to spoil another Pakistan-England T20I, The third T20I match between Pakistan and England at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff is likely to face interruptions due to heavy rainfall, as predicted by the United Kingdom (UK) Met Office weather forecast.
The forecast indicates a high probability of heavy rainfall in Cardiff on Tuesday, with chances as high as 90 percent. Rain is expected early in the morning, with the likelihood increasing to 90 percent by noon. Although the probability of rain is expected to drop to 50 percent during the match, the humidity level is forecasted to reach as high as 94 percent, with temperatures ranging from 13 to 14 degrees Celsius.
The high humidity levels may pose challenges for bowlers in gripping the ball and could also present difficulties for fielders. Additionally, the damp and unpredictable pitch resulting from the high moisture content could further complicate matters for both batsmen and bowlers.
It’s worth noting that the first T20I of the series was washed out without a ball bowled, while England won the second fixture in Birmingham. With England leading the series 1-0, both teams view this series as a crucial warm-up ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, particularly considering that the finalists of the previous edition will not participate in warm-up matches for this year’s tournament.
