ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Consul General Yang Yundong invited the delegation of the “Understanding China” summer camp from Karachi universities to visit the consulate for an exchange. The delegation consisted of 12 teachers and students from well-known universities such as Karachi University. Under the arrangement of Sichuan Normal University, they paid a visit to Beijing, Chengdu, and other places in late May.
Consul General Yang congratulated the successful holding of the “Understanding China” summer camp in China and believed that through this visit, the students had gained a deeper understanding of China’s long history, civilization, and rapid economic and social development. He encouraged more young students to learn Chinese well, serving as ambassadors for friendly exchanges between China and Pakistan, to contribute more to the development of bilateral relations.
Representatives of the delegation shared their observations, experiences and insights during their stay in China. They praised China’s tremendous development achievements and described this trip as an unforgettable memory for their all life. They pledged to study Chinese hard, and expressed their commitment to telling the story of China-Pakistan friendship to enhance Pakistani people’s understanding of Chinese culture and China’s development, thereby continuing the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan.
