MAKKAH (PEN) : Pakistani woman pilgrim gives birth to a son in Arafat in Makkah during Hajj.
Pakistani pilgrim was offering the Hajj ritual of Waquf-e-Arafat at Mount Arafat.
She was shifted to emergency ward of Jabaal hospital where she gave birth to baby boy, weighing 3 kg and 40 grams.
According to Saudi doctors, mother and son both are in good health.
Dr. Amina al-sheikh, the lead doctor, expressed her delight at the successful delivery, “the birth of a child is always a joyous occasion, and it is even more special to witness such an event during the hajj.
Both the mother and child are in stable condition and we are closely monitoring them to ensure their continued well-being,” she said.
The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims around the world who are physically and financially able offer the five-day hajj at least once in their lives.
Millions of Muslims from around the world congregate at Mount Arafat which is considered the significant part of Hajj.
Pilgrims listen sermon and offer Zuhr and Asr prayer there. Afterwards, pilgrims travel for a site known as Muzdalifa to offer other Hajj obligations
