ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a new notification on Monday regarding gas prices, announcing that rates for domestic consumers will remain unaltered, .
The notification specified an increase in gas prices for captive power plants by Rs 250 per mmbtu, bringing the new rate to Rs 3,000 per mmbtu with immediate effect. However, OGRA emphasized that prices for sectors like fertilizer factories, ice factories, and the cement industry will remain stable.
In addition, gas prices for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers will not see any changes. The notification also confirmed that prices for public and private power plants will remain unchanged.
It is worth noting that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved the recommendation from the Petroleum Division to maintain current gas prices without any reductions.
