KARACHI (PEN) : The fire brigade has extinguished the fire broke out in the building of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to Rescue 1122, the fire broke out in an office on the fourth floor of the building located on I.I. Chundrigar Road.
A Rescue 1122 spokesman said four fire brigade vehicles, a snorkel and a bowser took part in the operation.
The floor was choked with smoke which has been cleared. There was no casualty of injury as the fire erupted early in the morning, the spokesman added.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, trading in the PSX has been suspended after the fire. The KSE website also said trade had been suspended.
