ISLAMABAD (PEN) : China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) has unveiled a substantial investment plan for Pakistan, focusing on hydro and renewable energy, as well as transmission line projects. Managing Director Wang Huaiwa announced the details in Islamabad, highlighting key ventures such as the $1.5 billion Azad Patan hydropower project and the $1.96 billion Sikhi Canari Hydropower Project. CEEC’s investments in Pakistan’s energy sector are part of the broader China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative, with ongoing projects valued at over $13 billion. These efforts, employing over 100,000 local workers, contribute significantly to Pakistan’s energy infrastructure, generating 6,000 MW out of the total 8,000 MW. The company’s strategic projects aim to provide sustainable and affordable energy solutions, reinforcing the long-term partnership between China and Pakistan.
