ISLAMABAD (PEN) : In the first month of the financial year 2024-25, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 659.2 billion, surpassing its target of Rs 656 billion.
According to an FBR , the board has issued refunds totaling Rs 77.9 billion. During July, the collections were broken down as follows: Rs 300.2 billion from Income Tax, Rs 307.9 billion from Sales Tax, Rs 37.4 billion from Federal Excise Duty, and Rs 91.7 billion from Customs Duty.
Despite the country’s economic challenges, the FBR has shown a strong start to the financial year, demonstrating significant effort and commitment in meeting its revenue targets. This achievement highlights the dedication of tax officials in navigating the current financial difficulties and striving to meet their goals for the year.
