ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Bangladesh men’s cricket team touched down in Lahore from Dhaka, ready for a gripping two-Test series against Pakistan. With tight security measures, the team was whisked away from Allama Iqbal airport to a private hotel.
The visiting players will enjoy some downtime at their hotel before hitting the nets at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on August 14, 15, and 16. Then, on August 17, they’ll head to Islamabad.
The excitement is building for the first Test, which will kick off on August 21 in Rawalpindi, followed by the second Test from August 30 to September 3 in Karachi.
In a press conference on Sunday, Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood reflected on the team’s past performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup. “Whatever happened in the World Cup, it happened. It is now in the past,” Masood remarked. “You always have to move forward.” His words echoed a sentiment of resilience and a focus on the future.
