ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that half of all public sector cargo be transported via Gwadar port to boost its strategic importance and operational capacity. The directive came during a review meeting on Chinese investment in Pakistan, where progress was discussed on cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and infrastructure. The meeting highlighted plans for sector-specific roadshows in China to promote Pakistani products and noted interest from Chinese companies in relocating industries to Pakistan. Additionally, Pakistani students will receive agricultural training in China, with an emphasis on equal provincial representation. The prime minister stressed the need for swift implementation of agreements with China to enhance economic ties.
