ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the Pakistani embassy in Tehran is maintaining close communication with Iranian authorities in Yazd following the devastating bus accident that claimed the lives of 28 Pakistani pilgrims.
Dar extended his deepest sympathies to the families mourning the loss of their loved ones and expressed profound concern for the injured. “We are deeply troubled by the incident and are focused on ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected,” he said.
He revealed that he has directed Pakistan’s Ambassador in Tehran to get a clear understanding of the situation and to ensure that the injured receive prompt medical care. Additionally, he has prioritized arranging the repatriation of the deceased back to Pakistan.
“Our embassy is in constant touch with the authorities in Yazd,” Dar noted. “We are grateful for the support and assistance provided by the Iranian Government during this difficult time.”
