In a remarkable achievement, Pakistan’s Irfan Mehsood and his five-year-old son, martial artist Sufiyan Mehsood, have set a new Guinness World Record by surpassing India’s record for the fastest time to climb around a person. They accomplished this feat in just 7.87 seconds in Dera Ismail Khan on June 19, outpacing the previous record of 9.78 seconds set by five-year-old MV Arjun Priyan from India.
Irfan Mehsood, a renowned multiple Guinness World Record holder, described the challenge as difficult and exhilarating. He mentioned that the record, also known as the Koala Challenge, gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With this latest achievement, Sufiyan Mehsood has become Pakistan’s youngest Guinness World Record holder, following in the footsteps of his father, who has now secured 100 Guinness World Records for Pakistan.
In addition to this, Irfan Mehsood set new records by lifting a 40-pound weight with his toe for 1 minute and 32 seconds, breaking the previous record held by Italy’s Marcello Ferri. He also set a new record for the deadlift, lifting 40 pounds for 3 minutes and 20 seconds, and lifted 70 kg with his toe to establish another world record.
Irfan proudly shared that he has achieved 46 Guinness World Records in the push-ups category alone and 31 records involving weights up to 100 pounds. His records span various exercises including pushups, squats, jumping jacks, and more. He has broken records in 16 countries, including the US, Great Britain, India, China, and several European nations.
Through these incredible feats, Mehsood has demonstrated extraordinary strength, perseverance, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of physical achievement.
