Senior Pakistani actor Firdous Jamal has voiced strong criticisms of fellow stars Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan. He argues that Humayun Saeed’s performances have become monotonous, and he feels Mahira Khan, in his view, is too aged to play leading roles.
Jamal reaffirmed his previous statements about both actors. When questioned about Mahira Khan’s role in “The Legend of Maula Jutt,” which was widely acclaimed, he remained firm in his opinion, saying that Mahira appears too old for the roles of a young heroine. “She really looks too old on screen to be playing youthful roles,” he remarked.
As for Humayun Saeed, despite his current success with shows like “Mere Paas Tum Ho,” Jamal expressed skepticism. He dismissed the idea that Saeed is at the peak of his acting career, suggesting instead that Saeed is simply a fortunate actor who has been performing the same type of roles for a long time. “Saeed is not Marlon Brando of acting; he’s just a lucky guy who has been doing some tedious acting for years,” he said.
Jamal’s comments reflect his belief that both actors have not evolved in their craft, and he maintains his critical stance despite their ongoing popularity.
