ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Three officers from Adiala Jail have been transferred amid allegations that they were involved in “facilitating” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Following the arrest of individuals suspected of aiding the PTI leader within the prison, the process of transferring officers has begun. On Monday, the Prisons IG issued a notification announcing the transfers of these three officers.
According to the notification, Additional Superintendent Aftab Ahmed has been moved to the Punjab Staff Training College. He had previously taken over from former Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram.
Deputy Superintendent Samra Jabeen has been reassigned to Bahawalpur, while Deputy Superintendent Mazhar Iqbal Aslam will now serve in Dera Ghazi Khan. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to address and resolve the issues within the prison system.
