ISLAMABAD (PEN) : In response to questions about the rising divorce rates in society, former singer and host Rabi Pirzada pointed to the influence of some TV dramas. She believes these programs contribute to the issue by depicting wives in a negative light—showing them as troublesome and aggressive towards their husbands.
Rabi Pirzada explained that these dramas often portray wives hitting their husbands, spitting on them, and leaving their homes, which she argues affects younger generations. She feels that such portrayals can lead people to focus on asserting their rights without fully understanding their duties and responsibilities.
On a personal note, Rabi Pirzada shared that she receives numerous marriage proposals daily. Despite this, she prefers to keep her personal life private and doesn’t allow others to intrude. She advises people to concentrate on the girls and women around them and to actively pursue marriage proposals. She expressed concern that both boys and girls seem reluctant to marry, which she sees as a troubling trend.
