ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Olympian Arshad Nadeem warmly presented with a car by a private motor company, marking another milestone in his remarkable journey. In a further gesture of recognition, the Sindh government also provided him with the vehicle registration number ANO 9297.
At the ceremony held in Karachi, Arshad Nadeem, the gold medalist, took a moment to express his gratitude. He acknowledged that his achievements at the Paris Olympics were made possible by the unwavering support of Coach Salman Butt and Dr. Ali Sher Bajwa.
Reflecting on his journey, Nadeem shared that his athletic career began in 2012 after transitioning from cricket, badminton, and kabaddi. He credited his brother for introducing him to athletics, and by 2015, he had already earned the title of All-Punjab Javelin Throw Champion.
Nadeem also spoke of the vital support he received from organizations like WAPDA and the Army. He proudly mentioned that he had set national records ten times, maintaining his status as Pakistan’s top javelin thrower.
Highlighting his historic achievement, Nadeem noted that he was the first athlete to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics and emphasized how the support of the Pakistani people played a crucial role in helping him gain international recognition for the country.
