ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Dr. Omer Adil, who faced arrest following a complaint from anchorperson Gharidah Farooqi, has now reached out with a heartfelt apology. Farooqi had filed the complaint due to allegations Dr. Adil made against her and other women on social media.
In a recent video, Dr. Adil expressed his sincere regret. “This is a genuine, unconditional apology to Gharidah Farooqi,” he said. “I realize that my actions, particularly the manipulated podcast, caused her distress. I hold no ill will toward her and offer this apology with a full heart.”
Dr. Adil, a well-respected orthopedic surgeon and media analyst, had been in the spotlight after arrest warrants were issued against him, an action Farooqi had publicized on X. She had previously requested an apology from him, which he hadn’t provided until now.
In his apology, Dr. Adil emphasized that his intention was to make amends and move forward, acknowledging the hurt caused and expressing his hope for reconciliation.
