ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari expressed serious concerns about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, accusing it of becoming a haven for terrorists. Speaking to reporters outside the Lahore High Court, Bokhari criticized KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for his rhetoric at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Sangjani on September 8, describing his speech as having the tone and demeanor of a terrorist. She found Gandapur’s anti-state sentiments unacceptable.
Bokhari emphasized that Punjab has always acted as a big brother to other provinces and reiterated that they would not tolerate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House being used as a refuge for terrorists. She urged those in charge of the KP House to clarify their position.
She also took PTI founder Imran Khan to task for his harsh criticisms of political opponents, noting that such remarks have been echoed by PTI leaders and supporters.
Addressing the issue of PTI’s plans for public gatherings in Punjab, Bokhari made it clear that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz would personally handle any such events, ruling out the possibility of PTI holding a rally in the province.
