ISLAMABAD (PEN) : On the 59th anniversary of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Nishan-i-Haider’s martyrdom, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid heartfelt tributes to him.
The Prime Minister praised Major Bhatti for his extraordinary bravery during the 1965 war, highlighting how his courage thwarted the enemy’s plans to capture Lahore. He emphasized that Bhatti’s unwavering commitment to defending his country, even at the cost of his life, serves as a powerful example for the younger generation. The Prime Minister assured that the nation would never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and would always honor their memory.
President Asif Zardari also paid homage to Major Bhatti, commending his ultimate sacrifice for the nation’s security. He reaffirmed the nation’s dedication to being always prepared to defend its homeland.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep respect for Major Aziz Bhatti, affirming that his memory would forever live on in their hearts. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz celebrated Bhatti’s bravery and courage, proudly acknowledging the pride the nation feels for him.
