ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Mahira Khan is overjoyed as her son Azlan celebrates his 15th birthday.
To mark this special occasion, the actress shared a cherished throwback photo on Instagram. The image, taken in 2009, captures a tender moment in the hospital, with Mahira lying on the bed beside her newborn baby. The look of pure joy on her face as she gazes at little Azlan is truly heartwarming.
Mahira chose “Hey Jude” by The Beatles as the soundtrack for this nostalgic post, a song she fondly remembers listening to during her pregnancy with Azlan.
In her heartfelt caption, Mahira reflected, “A 24-year-old me, looking at my entire world—my one and only Azlan—15.09.09. May Allah keep my Azlan and all children safe, blessed with happy, healthy, and long lives. May they follow the right path and be shielded from harm. Ameen.”
She added, “As my Ama says, ‘saari maaoon ke dil thanday rakh ya rabb. Ameen inshAllah.’ PS: This is the song I sang to Azzu the most while he was in my tummy and after he was born! He still loves The Beatles, and MJ too!”
Azlan is Mahira Khan’s son from her previous marriage to Ali Askari. The couple, who married in 2007, separated in 2015. Last October, Mahira married businessman Salim Karim.
