ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to challenge the proposed constitutional amendments by taking the issue to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
PTI plans to file a petition against these amendments on Monday. The party argues that the Senate, the upper house of parliament, is currently lacking adequate representation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, making it impossible for the amendments to be properly discussed and passed.
PTI’s petition will be presented by its current senators and party candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting their concern that the Senate’s incomplete representation from their region undermines the legitimacy of the proposed changes.
