ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) reserved its verdict regarding former first lady Bushra Bibi’s request to expedite her bail plea related to the Toshakhana case. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb presided over the hearing, which saw Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, along with the investigation officer and representatives from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) present in court.
Justice Aurangzeb noted that the decision would be aligned with the National Judiciary Policy, emphasizing the court’s commitment to fairness and due process. It’s worth mentioning that an accountability court in Islamabad had previously adjourned the hearings concerning both Bushra Bibi and her husband, former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
