ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Turkmenistan is set to become the first Central Asian nation to use Pakistan’s Gwadar Port under CPEC. A draft agreement between the Port of Gwadar and the Port of Turkmenbashi is under cabinet review. This partnership will enhance regional trade by connecting South and Central Asia through improved rail, fiber, and transit routes. Experts believe this development will strengthen trade links in Central Eurasia, Afghanistan, Southern Russia, and Southwest China, boosting the potential of Gwadar Port. Khalid Taimur Akram highlighted the benefits this deal could offer to other landlocked Central Asian nations and Pakistan.
