ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Pakistan Regional Economic Forum (PREF), in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy, hosted a High-Level Private Sector Investment Dialogue in Lahore, co-chaired by Chinese Ambassador Jiang Yikong. The event, attended by prominent business leaders, focused on fostering private sector-led investments in Pakistan, with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb addressing attendees via Zoom from New York. PREF Chairman Haroon Sharif emphasized the transition from a debt-driven economy to one powered by investment, leveraging infrastructure projects like CPEC Phase-II. The dialogue highlighted key sectors for growth, including agriculture, energy, technology, and logistics, with a USD 1 billion joint venture fund in progress.
