Karachi (PEN) : The Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong, announced that Pakistan and China are working together on an “upgraded version” of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during a reception celebrating China’s 75th National Day. He emphasized enhancing infrastructure, including the Main Line-1 railway, and promoting investments in automobile manufacturing, new energy, and various sectors.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised China’s progress over the past 75 years and highlighted Pakistan-China collaborations in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and technology. He mentioned Pakistan’s upcoming hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and a visit by President Asif Ali Zardari to China in November.
