ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Indus Motor Company has announced a temporary halt in operations at its production plant from September 26 to September 30, 2024, due to ongoing supply chain disruptions.
In a notice shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, the company explained that a shortage of raw materials and components has made it difficult to meet production needs. This has led to depleted inventory levels, affecting the availability of essential parts for vehicle assembly.
The notice stated, “As a result, the Company has decided to temporarily suspend operations at its production plant during this period.”
Indus Motor reassured the PSX that it plans to resume operations as soon as the supply chain issues are resolved and inventory levels are replenished. This decision underscores the challenges that many companies are currently facing in a fluctuating market, impacting not just production but also the livelihoods of those who rely on these operations.
