ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan has remained a strong ally of China since 1949, being among the first countries to recognize the People’s Republic and the first Islamic nation to establish diplomatic ties in 1951. In an interview with China Economic Net, Pakistan’s Consul General in Shanghai, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, highlighted China’s remarkable socio-economic transformation over the past 75 years, driven by its leadership and long-term vision. He noted China’s advancements in technology, high-speed rail, and poverty alleviation, emphasizing its global leadership and collaborative projects like the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
