Pakistani Ambassador Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Great Wall Preservation

ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Ambassador Khalil Hashmi attended an exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the “Love Our China, Repair the Great Wall” slogan at the Badaling section near Beijing. He highlighted the symbolic strength of the Great Wall and Pakistan’s contribution to its restoration in 1989, drawing parallels with Pakistan’s cultural heritage. Hashmi reaffirmed the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, built on mutual respect and shared history. Chinese leaders also acknowledged Pakistan’s role in preserving the Great Wall.
