The spokesperson for the Foreign Office had also mentioned that an invitation had been sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The federal government approved a comprehensive plan to ensure strict security for the upcoming gathering of regional leaders.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated during the meeting that additional personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), and Punjab police would be deployed for security duties at the SCO summit.
In May last year, the then-foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari visited India for the two-day SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, marking the first visit to India by a senior Pakistani official since then-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif attended Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in 2014.
