ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Late Friday night, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the D-Chowk area of Islamabad to assess the security situation following the protest call from the PTI party, as reported by Dunya News.
Accompanied by personnel from the Pakistan Army, Naqvi took the time to commend the dedication and bravery of both the police and army members on duty. He expressed genuine admiration for their commitment to keeping the peace during this critical time.
During his visit, Naqvi emphasized the significance of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference, stating that, given the current circumstances, no demonstrations would be permitted. He assured that the government would take all necessary measures to prevent protests, particularly while foreign dignitaries are in Islamabad.
Naqvi firmly stated that anyone attempting to take the law into their own hands would face legal consequences, underscoring the importance of maintaining order and safety for everyone involved.
